Woman Drops Dog at Daycare and Receives Shocking Call Hours Later

Life can get really busy for anyone and it can make it really hard to balance all of our daily activities. This is especially tough for dog owners.

Many of them struggle to spend enough time with their furry companions because of many other obligations, like work or chores.

So, to make the pup feel less lonely, some owners take their dog to daycare in hopes that they can find friends to play with.

Usually, this is a great idea as it can help dogs immensely, but in some cases, it can backfire as it did with this owner.

A Hopeful Pup

When this owner first dropped off her dog, Dolly, at a daycare, she thought that the pup would have a great time and meet many new friends.

However, she didn’t expect what happened next. After only two hours, she got a call from the staff member at the daycare asking her to pick the dog up.

When she asked why, the staff member told the owner that Dolly looked really anxious, like she really wanted to leave, so her owner came to pick her up.

She assumed that Dolly was like this because she was adopted from a shelter, and she didn’t like the enclosed space of daycare because it reminded her of being in a shelter.

Her owner thought that it might be worth it to try and take her to the daycare again to see if she made some friends who would help ease her anxiety down, but that didn’t happen.

Dolly remained anxious, even though she made a new friend there. She had a big frown on her face and her owner picked her up again.

At this moment, she realized it would probably be for the best if she didn’t take her to daycare anymore, as she would not like it.

Funny Comments On The Internet

Dolly’s owner uploaded pictures of her dog in daycare and described what happened over the last few days.

It should come as no surprise that a lot of people had interesting reactions to Dolly’s story, so they shared their thoughts in the comments.

One person commented: “After working at a dog daycare, most people don’t realize their pets would MUCH rather be at home than with us.

This is true in some cases, but I feel like a lot of dogs are really social and don’t mind spending a few hours playing with other dogs at the daycare.

Another person said: “Honestly at least they were honest about it. It can be too overstimulating for some dogs. Sometimes a calmer daycare that only takes a low amount of dogs can be better for confidence building.

That is actually a pretty good idea. Even though some dogs can’t get used to it, maybe sending them to a daycare with fewer dogs could help alleviate some of their anxiety.

And lastly, somebody commented: “MAMA PLEASE. He really called home on his first sleep over… mood.

Well, if there was ever an analogy that perfectly describes the situation, it would be this one. Nevertheless, I think that Dolly won’t have to worry about that anymore.

Even though her owner wanted her to make more friends in the daycare while she works, she understands that this is not a pleasant place for her dog. She’s more than happy to stay home where she’s comfortable.
