Too many times have we seen animals going through cruelty and neglect. It’s a problem that’s plaguing the entire world.

The question is, when will it stop and what can we do about it? Well, the simple answer is that it’s complicated. That doesn’t mean we should be discouraged from trying.

Each of us has the power to help individually and provide aid to dogs who need our help. If we all started doing more, then maybe the problem would solve itself.

This severely malnourished and injured mama dog was struggling to keep going, but because she was noticed by some kind people, she got another chance.

She Didn’t Have Any Strength Left

When the rescuers received information that a dog was being kept in a backyard and starved with her babies, they were completely stunned.

They rushed to their location in order to provide emergency aid. It became obvious quickly that the owner was running a puppy factory. 

The poor mama dog looked completely beaten up with bruises and her bones were visible. It’s hard to tell how long she had been starving for, but her condition was severe.

Rescuers informed the police about this. They found 4 mama dogs and 12 puppies in total. When they tried to save the injured mama dog, she was completely terrified.

They tried pulling her out gently, but she just wanted to curl up in a corner and close her eyes. It was tragic seeing the state she was in.

After trying for a while, they were able to take her into their vehicle along with all of her puppies. They went straight to the vet because the dogs desperately needed help.

They Will Recover Soon

The vet check revealed that all of the puppies were healthy and won’t need any major intervention. The mom, now named Tonio, was in bad shape, but they were doing everything to help her.

Her puppies were all given names: Heidi, Paul, Vaco, Foqi, and Artu. Slowly but surely, Tonio was making progress.

She became a lot more cheerful and was able to help her puppies more. They were also growing up fast, which meant that they were ready for adoption.

The amazing rescuers were able to find a forever home for all of them. As for Tonio, she is still with her rescuers, but her life has changed completely and she is doing really well.

Now that the rescuers had more time, they went back to the puppy factory where they found these dogs only to realize that there were still more that needed their help.

Rescuers Did Their Best

They found another mama dog who was starving and looked really terrified. Horrified by what they were seeing, they tried to help, but it was too late.

She sadly passed away, but her puppies would live on and the rescuers had to focus on helping them even though they were completely devastated by this loss.

They found 12 more puppies who really needed them. I wish I could say that’s where the shock stops. After searching the entire property, they found 3 more puppies in a storage house.

Now that the search was over, all of the puppies were taken to the vet for a checkup. Some of them were in really bad condition, but there was hope.

Luckily, all of them would end up recovering and are now doing a lot better. Seeing them smile and play around is just so heartwarming. 

It’s sad that their moms didn’t make it, but there is some comfort in knowing that their babies will live fulfilling and happy lives.

While we don’t know if all of them were adopted or what happened to mama Tonio, I am confident that it won’t take long before all of them are in their forever homes.
