Rescuers Rush to Save Stray Pittie in Need of Help

Nothing warms up my heart more than a pup who is being treated the way they deserve.

Unfortunately, the world isn’t too kind to animals. There are so many instances of neglect and abuse that I can’t even begin talking about it without crying.

All these animals want is for us to love and play with them, but sometimes we fail to make even that simple request happen.

So, you can imagine just how happy I get when I come across a story where a loving animal, no matter if they are a stray or coming from a home, is finally being treated with the love and respect they deserve.

The Sweetest Girl Ever

When Hope For Paws, a nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to rescuing animals in the Los Angeles area and beyond, received a text about an abandoned and exhausted Pit Bull, two dedicated staff members immediately dropped everything they were doing, grabbed their gear, and headed over to the location.

While in the car, they remembered that they had to make a quick little pitstop that would make this rescue mission so much easier – they had to grab some yummy food, not for themselves, of course, but for the pup!

After getting their hands on a yummy burger, the duo were finally able to head over to the Los Angeles neighborhood where this sweet girl was staying.

When they met the pup, the rescuers were filled with joy when they realized that she was actually being taken care of. The owners of the garden she was staying in brought her some warm blankets, along with water and food.

Nevertheless, in order to show her that they were there to help, the rescuers took out the burger and offered it to the pup. She immediately got up and took a big bite.

While she finished her burger, one of the rescuers ran over to their car and grabbed a kennel so that they could transport the pup, now named Grace, back to the Los Angeles shelter.

The second they arrived, they prepared Grace a nice and warm bubble bath so that they could get her all nice and clean.

However, they noticed that the skin on her face was biopsied so when she was clean, she took her to the vet where they did some tests. Everybody at the shelter let out a sigh of relief when they found out that this was not a sign of cancer

The vets also had to pull out some broken teeth, but other than that, she was one healthy girl.

Being so happy and healthy, Grace was more than ready for a new forever home

Luckily, the kind hoomans at It’s The Pits, a 501c3 canine rescue that coordinates the fostering and adoption of pups, reached out and offered to foster this sweet girl

I am sure that when the time comes, this brave pup will find the perfect family that will love and care for her just like she deserves.
