Is there anything sadder than a pup who knows nothing about love?

A pup who is forced to endure the harsh street life for days on end, looking for food and shelter that would keep him alive?

Why is this happening? Am I not a good pup? Do I not deserve love and happiness?

Thousands of questions go through their minds as they try to explain to them why they are in such a heartbreaking situation. But, what I find really inspirational about these animals is their hopefulness.

A Head Kept High

When a puppy named Bingo was spotted roaming the streets of Houston one morning by a volunteer, there was something quite interesting about him.

The volunteer, working for a Texan nonprofit organization by the name of Corridor Rescue, noticed that the puppy was proudly carrying a newspaper in his mouth.

He happily approached the volunteer who picked him up and took him to the Texas rescue so that he could begin his new chapter of life.

And, even though the little guy looked quite happy and healthy, his medical exam showed that things were anything but.

After some tests, the vets determined that Bingo had canine parvovirus as well as mange.

“Although he was actively walking the streets with his newspaper, his initial exam determined that he was severely dehydrated, parvo positive, filled with intestinal parasites, and suffering from sarcoptic mange at the time of his rescue,” the Corridor Rescue spokesperson told Newsweek.

It was clear that this sweet boy needed excessive care and medical attention in order to fully recover.

“He required flea and heartworm prevention, fluids, dewormer, antibiotics, and medicated baths for mange, as well as supportive care and treatment for the parvovirus,” they added.

The Texas staff did everything they could to ensure that Bingo had the best time while receiving his treatment. Being in such a kind and loving environment, the pup made a full recovery in no time.

A Happy Ending

The second he was able to be adopted, the staff started looking into potential adopters that would take in this boy and offer him the best home ever.

And, since he had lived his entire life on the streets, Bingo couldn’t wait to have a bed of his own!

Just a couple of weeks later, a loving family in Minnesota noticed this adorable boy and knew that he was the perfect fit.

Ever since then, Bingo has been living a life full of love and luxury!

“Our adoption coordinator keeps in contact with all of our adopters. Bingo’s adopter reports that he is adjusting so well to his home, he sleeps through the night and is already the best companion,” the Corridor Rescue spokesperson said.

After posting Bingo’s journey on their TikTok page, which has since gone viral, the rescue has gotten an overwhelming amount of love and support.

Their only hope now is that people will be inspired by the resilience of this sweet pup and extend their loving hands to those unfortunate animals who are still looking for their place in this big world.

“Bingo has received so much support through his rescue journey and video. We find so many puppies who have been abandoned but still wait months to find an adopter. Our hopes are that Bingo’s journey can help our other puppies who are still searching for a loving home,” they concluded.
