Puppy Left in Dumpster Finds Love and Hope Through Adoption

Finding puppies abandoned in the worst of places isn’t news, but it hurts every single time. Just seeing these four-legged creatures struggle and fight for their lives makes my heart break into a million pieces.

Who would leave a helpless dog in the middle of nowhere and leave? Did they deserve to continue their lives without basic necessities? These are the questions I keep asking myself every time I see these helpless furbabies struggling.

Recently, one such case of cruelty was reported in Houston, Texas. A kind woman was notified about a helpless pup abandoned at a dumpster, and she was absolutely shocked.

When she saw the pup, later named Tully, lying motionless in a cardboard box, she gathered all her strength and rushed to help the poor baby.

Heartless Act

Samantha Dix, of Street Life To The Sweet Life, from Houston, Texas, has always had a soft spot for animals. This giant-hearted rescuer has dedicated her life to saving furry babies in need, and this time was no exception.

As soon as she discovered Tully in what can only be described as the verge of life, she rushed into action.

Tully was lying in a small cardboard box, completely cut off from basic humane conditions. She barely clung to life, as no one knows how long she was without food and water. She was evidently sick and malnourished and only minutes away from the inevitable.

Samantha scooped up this sweet, almost unconscious pup without thinking and took it to the ER.

“This critical puppy is being rushed to Vergi ER in Houston. It’s still alive and we hope we found this baby in time. This puppy will need immediate hospitalization and likely blood transfusions,” Street Life To The Sweet Life reported on Facebook.

Thanks to the giant-hearted team at the vet clinic, Tully received timely treatment. The best news was that she tested negative for heartworms and was out of danger. However, she had parasites and had to be under 24/7 care for a few days until fully recovered.

Samantha was extremely grateful for being able to save Tully in time. Just seeing her have such a speedy recovery was truly amazing

Turns out, all Tully needed was someone to extend her a friendly hand. Once she finally got it, she miraculously transformed into the sweetest lovebug.

“It’s crazy how quick she bounced back with ER care,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Tully did it! She survived a heavy parasite load. She is heading home to her foster mom now,” she added.

The greatest update on Tully’s situation arrived a few weeks later. After being cared for in a loving foster home, this tiny sweetheart found a forever home with a woman in Wisconsin.

“Tully was adopted today in Wisconsin,” she wrote under the photo with Tully’s new mom.

Both Tully and her mom couldn’t be happier about how this situation unfolded. They fell in love with each other right off the bat and started a beautiful new life chapter together.

Today, Tully is happier than ever, and she’s finally living the life she deserves, far away from uncertainty.
