Every day, we can see the sad sights of poor dogs abandoned on the street and left to fend for themselves. The most common reason for that is cruel people. 

What is even more heartbreaking is that human cruelty sometimes truly has no boundaries. Those who should protect their canine fellows the most are often the ones who cause them unimaginable pain. 

There are many examples, and the most recent one is the one that truly breaks the heart. Throwing an entire canine family out of a car and taking their lives is truly a crime, but that’s exactly what one heartless owner did.

However, there was one bright spot in that dark event, and that was one surviving puppy that good souls quickly found and gave a new chance to.

Saving The Poor Little Girl

When the big-hearted rescuer found the tiny puppy, later named Cici, near the road, she was crying loudly. Aside from physical injuries, her pain was also coming from her broken heart as all of her family lost their lives that day – her mother and brothers crossed the rainbow bridge. 

Only she somehow miraculously survived, but it was not yet certain that it would remain so. That is why one of the rescuers quickly went into action and brought Cici to the veterinary clinic. 

When the vets examined her, they determined that she had a broken cervical vertebrae and a liver shunt. Luckily, she didn’t have parvo. The vets did everything to save this poor little puppy, but her future was not certain. 

However, after therapy and some crucial medical procedures, the vets became more and more optimistic. Cici’s life was finally out of danger, and consequently, after only a few days, they let her go home.

The woman who rescued her and took her to the vet gladly agreed to take Cici with her and take care of her as long as necessary.

Better Every Day

Cici’s new foster mom did everything to make this puppy truly feel at home. She prepared her a warm and comfy bed, blankets, and also the best and most nutritious dog food from the market. 

Probably because of her trauma, i.e., everything she’d been through, Cici didn’t eat well on the first day at her new home. Luckily, that quickly changed and her appetite returned so well that her foster mom couldn’t keep up with it. 

However, this woman was extremely happy because that was the best sign that this little girl was on the right track. In fact, every day, Cici was getting better – her positive energy surfaced, and she couldn’t take the smile off her face anymore.

Only one day did this woman really worry when Cici fell while walking. However, it was only that day, and it didn’t happen again so she could breathe a sigh of relief.

After that, her recovery progressed rapidly and it was only a matter of time before all her wounds would be completely healed, making her ready for a brand-new start.

Happiest Ending

After almost a month of staying in her foster home, Cici regained all her strength. She has gained 4+ ounces, which was a nice quantity of weight for her. Only a week before, she was 9.1 ounces, and now she is 13.7 ounces. 

After that, another month passed, and Cici finally fully recovered. It was the best possible news for her foster mom, but it didn’t end there.

Namely, one lovely family fell in love with Cici after hearing her life story and almost immediately decided to adopt her. It was the happiest ending after everything this suffering puppy went through. 

Her deceased family is now probably proudly watching her from the top of the rainbow, and although they are not in this world anymore, they continue to live in her heart happy with Cici in her new forever home.
