Pit Bull Chained in the Snow Cries Out for Help and Finds Rescue

Dog owners understand that what matters is not the breed of the dog, but how the dog is nurtured, handled, and loved.

Pit bulls have killed far too many people to count. One cop, on the other hand, is trying hard to alter that image, one false assumption at a time.

Officer Justin Bruzgul’s bio: Bruzgul rescued Kiah from a bad situation. He found her stuck in the snow, freezing and crying for help.

He saw in her what he saw in himself: unwavering loyalty, intelligence, and a kind heart.

He recognized Kiah’s ability to help others and chose to take her under his wing and train her to be a K9 officer.

Kiah passed the exam and went on to become New York’s first Pit Bull K9 officer.

Kiah’s rescue and transformation demonstrate one thing: Pit bulls are excellent dogs!

In fact, Kiah and Officer Bruzgul make it a point to teach people about the breed’s struggles in addition to working hard on the job.

Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes are the most often encountered breeds in shelters. It has the potential to place hundreds (if not millions) of pets in forever homes if more people are made aware of their full potential and who these canines are.

Pit Bulls have also been shown to be capable of serving by the K9 team. Rather than spending an average of $20,000 for a police dog, districts might turn to shelters, where many appropriate canines are waiting.

Many dogs who are euthanized due to overcrowding are rehabilitable. Isn’t that something to be thankful for?
