When her owner chased her from the only home she ever knew, Kontes felt like her whole world had collapsed in front of her eyes.
The fifteen-year-old dog couldn’t stop crying as she looked at the house where she used to live with her family.
Kontes was in a terrible state, neglected and infested with scabies.
She was lying on the sand, feeling desperate and exhausted. She was ready to give up.
Although her owner treated her badly, the dog stayed at her spot for days, hoping that they would change their mind and take her back.
Will anybody find her and give her a second chance?
Leaving Her Past Behind
When a local rescuer learned that a sick senior dog was kicked out of her home, she came to collect her right away.
Her heart shattered when she saw Kontes for the first time.
It was evident that she was neglected. The doggo was only skin and bones. Due to scabies, her face, ears, and legs turned into stone.
The kind woman began talking to the dog, offering her words of solace.
Kontes didn’t show any reaction. She resigned herself to her sad fate.
It was difficult for the rescuer to convince the dog to leave her spot. The dog held onto the hope that her owner would let her come back home.
Having realized that the good woman didn’t want to give up on her, Kontes accepted her help and let her take her to the vet.
Upon her arrival at a clinic, she was given a thorough medical checkup and diagnosed with parasites and scabies.
After the vet staff gave Kontes a medicated bath and cleaned her up, they applied medicine on her itchy skin.
She needed to stay at the clinic.
Realizing That She Was Loved
Both the rescuer and the vet staff talked to the doggo, but she sat in the corner of her kennel, refusing to interact with anyone. She was still heartbroken.
Her rescuer visited her often and tried to comfort her. She kept telling her that she deserved a better life and that her owner never treated her well.
Thanks to the wonderful care that she received, Kontes’skin condition was much better. However, she was still sorrowful.
The staff continued caring for Kontes and giving her a lot of TLC.
Two months after she was rescued, the dog’s health improved and her skin healed completely.
Kontes finally left the clinic and moved to a shelter where her rescuer took care of her and showered her with love.
The dog ate nutritious food and she began gaining weight. After some time, Kontes made a full recovery andtransformed into a beautiful and healthy dog.
She made many doggy friends at the shelter.
An abandoned blind dog named Kont became her best friend. His resilience and willpower inspired Kontes to overcome her past and start embracing her new life.
Owing to her rescuer’s love and the support of her doggy friends, she started smiling. Finally, Kontes felt safe and loved.
