Dogs’ hearts are pure and they believe that their owners would never leave them behind.

Katie was convinced of her family’s loyalty, too. She thought that they loved her and that they would never abandon her.

When her heartless owners threw her and her newborn puppies on the side of a road in the middle of nowhere, Katie was heartbroken.

The mama dog started desperately chasing after their car, hoping that her family would take her and her babies back.

Giving Hope To A Heartbroken Mama Dog

As much as she tried, Katie couldn’t catch up with the car, which soon disappeared in the distance. 

With her heart heavy with sadness, she returned to her crying puppies and wrapped them in her paws. 

Good humans who witnessed this heartbreaking sight reached out to a local shelter, urging them to help the canine family.

Upon receiving the call for help, the team rushed to collect Katie and her babies.

Once they arrived at the spot and saw the desperate mother, their hearts became overwhelmed with sadness. They couldn’t believe that the owners could have betrayed the trust of an innocent doggo and her babies.

As soon as Katie noticed the rescuers, she started barking. She was terribly worried for the safety of her fragile puppies.

The kind people eventually managed to convince the mama dog to accept their help, and they drove them to a clinic where they were examined.

Katie was still cautious and protective of her children. 

While the vet staff was feeding her, the mother dog kept looking at her puppies and making sure they were safe. 

Understandably, Katie was still under a lot of stress and she needed time to decompress.

The little furballs clung to their mother and slept blissfully. 

Luckily, the babies, who were named Zuma, Rocky, Marshall, Sweet, and Skye, were completely unaware of the trauma their mama went through. 

The vet staff cuddled Katie, trying to chase away her worries. They promised her that everything would be fine.

Feeling Safe At Last

Gradually, the mama dog warmed up to her caregivers and she began trusting them. She let them handle and stroke her adorable babies.

The furballs thrived and they soon received their vaccinations.

After spending a week at the hospital, Katie and her puppies were admitted to the shelter.

The shelter staff were enchanted with them and gave the dogs a lot of love.

Katie felt relaxed and safe because she was surrounded with loving people. She knows that she and her fur babies will never be abandoned again.

I’m certain that the mama and her babies will find loving families as soon as the puppies reach the optimal age for adoption.

Until then, Katie and her sweet kids will continue soaking up all the love their human friends shower them with.
