Misjudged as ‘Scary,’ This Dog Finds a True Friend

After being forced to live the harsh realities of living on the streets, many animals tend to lose their trust in their two-legged friends.

Since so many hoomans have shown them nothing but cruelty, they simply don’t know who to trust anymore.

Will you show me love and affection or will you throw rocks at me?

Having this in mind, it really isn’t a surprise to rescuers when they have trouble catching such animals. They spend hours, sometimes even days, trying to convince them that they are there to help.

The rescuer of today’s story was faced with exactly that.

Easy Does It

Driving down a busy highway, one rescuer named Bruno noticed a big dog dragging his tired body, trying to find some shelter.

The second he laid eyes on him, the rescuer knew that this dog had been through a lot. His entire body was covered in wounds and he was barely walking.

Knowing that he needed to be taken to the vet, Bruno decided to try and approach the pup. However, it wasn’t as easy as he thought.

The dog was so scared of hoomans that he kept running away from Bruno. And, no matter how hard the rescuer tried, the pup would just walk away.

Luckily, this hooman was not going to give up so easily.

He followed the pup with his car the entire day, hoping that he would get used to his face and start seeing him as a friend.

As the pup grew tired, he began lowering his guard, giving Bruno the perfect opportunity.

Managing to get closer to the pup, the rescuer pulled out a yummy treat from his pocket and gave it to the pup. Since he was so hungry, the doggo ate the entire thing in just one bite!

Not only did this fill up his stomach, but it also convinced him that Bruno was actually a friend!

One Step At A Time

Naming the dog Kango, Bruno decided to hang out with him for a little longer so that he would finally relax. After their short playdate, Kango was taken to the vet for a much-needed medical exam.

While they were waiting for his results to get back, the vet staff, along with Bruno, gave the pup a nice bubble bath.

The next morning, Kango was looking like a brand-new pup who was more than ready to start his new life!

Since Bruno owned an incredible farm with tons of adorable animals, he had no hesitation to adopt this sweet boy and provide him with a life worth living.
