Dudu’s life changed completely on the day when he fell from an overpass. As much as he tried, the dog couldn’t get up and he helplessly lay on the road.
His eyes became filled with sadness as he looked at the people who passed him by. He was begging them to lend him a helping hand.
Although many people stopped by and checked up on the doggo, nobody took him home.
The sweet pup was left all alone, wondering if he would ever get the help that he badly needed.
Help Arrives
When the animal activists, Natali Bueno and Sandra Alvarenga, spotted Dudu, they felt heartbroken and they rushed to his rescue.
The paralyzed dog was lying on the ground. He was close to the point of losing hope.
Once Dudu saw the rescuers approaching him, he lifted his head. He wasn’t expecting anyone to help him.
Alvarenga gently took him in her arms and Dudu surrendered.
A huge burden fell off his shoulders because someone came to his aid. Despite enduring pain, the doggo didn’t cry.
The rescuers stroked him, letting him know that he wasn’t alone anymore.
They drove him to an animal rescue that took him in.
Shortly afterward, Dudu was taken to a hospital where he received a thorough examination. The doctors gave him a pain reliever.
Although he was unable to walk, Dudu didn’t let it bring him down. He was in a good mood and he kept smiling.
The doggo underwent surgery and it was a success. Unfortunately, since he sustained a severe spine fracture, Dudu had slim chances of ever walking again.
Happiness At Last
During his stay at the hospital, Dudu made friends with Aurora, a paraplegic dog who was adopted by one of the hospital staff members.
Aurora and Dudu became inseparable and everyone admired their beautiful friendship.
Dudu’s human friends were determined to help him recover. They started taking him on physical therapy and acupuncture sessions hoping that it would help him regain strength.
The pup loved going on walks in his stroller. He was extremely grateful to his caregivers for all their help and love.
As days went by, the dog became stronger.
Dudu stole the heart of Bueno, and she decided to adopt the doggo, promising him a life filled with love and care.
The dog was happy because he had a family who accepted him and loved him for who he was. He formed a strong bond with Bingo, his doggy brother.
