Hikers Spot Dog Alone In Canyon — Then Notice Something Around His Mouth

Two hikers were exploring a remote area near Malibu Creek Canyon in California, enjoying a beautiful summer day, when they noticed someone peering out at them from behind a rock. They were a little confused at first, and as they got closer, their hearts sank.

“What’s going on?” one of the hikers said in a video.

The mysterious lurker turned out to be an abandoned German shepherd with zip ties attached to him. The hikers had no idea how the dog had ended up out there or who could be so cruel as to do that to him. They knew that somehow, they had to help him.

Despite his situation, the abandoned dog was nothing but sweet and gentle with his rescuers. It took him a little while to warm up, but once he realized they were there to help him, he happily relaxed by their sides.

“He’s so friendly,” one of the hikers said.

The hikers called 911 and managed to remove one of the zip ties before help arrived. Once the police and animal control showed up, they undid the remaining zip tie and carried the sweet dog to safety.

The dog, recently named Argon, is currently being cared for at Agoura Animal Care Center. His rescuers are determined to find him a loving home as soon as possible to make up for everything he’s been through — and they’re also dead set on finding whoever is responsible.
