Golden Retriever Walks Over 60 Miles In 2 Weeks To Get Back Home

This beautiful story is like a real-life “The Incredible Journey” and shows just how loving and loyal dogs really are.

A golden retriever named Ping An was living with her loving family in Qidong, Jiangsu, China, and enjoying every minute of it.

But one day, her family told her that she was going to live somewhere else for a while.

Ping An’s family had to perform some renovations on their house and to keep Ping An safe while the work was going on, they were going to have her live with some friends of theirs.

They put the sweet golden in their car and drove 2 hours to their friend’s home.

There, Ping An would be safe and sound and well taken care of, and in a few months time, she would be able to return home.

Her family said goodbye to their beloved girl and headed home to get started on the renovations.

Ping An got all the love and care she needed in her new, temporary home. But despite this, she couldn’t help but feel incredibly homesick.

She missed her family terribly and could not stop thinking about them.

Eventually, after four long months, she just couldn’t take it anymore.

And so, she left.

The family’s friends were of course distressed to find than Ping An had disappeared. They worried about her safety and thought that she might be lost somewhere.

They couldn’t imagine that Ping An was actually making her way back home.

For more than 2 weeks, Ping An walked and walked and walked. She only had one thought in her head: she had to get home to her family.

Nothing could stop her, and by the end of it, Ping An had walked over 62 miles.

At this point, the sweet girl was limping and bleeding, severely malnourshied and completely exhausted.

She was intent on continuing walking but was luckily rescued by some kind people who tracked down her owners.

Ping An was then taken to the vet and luckily made a full recovery.

Her family was amazed by her dedication and loyalty and promised to never send her away again.

Clearly, nothing matters more to Ping An than her family, and she has proven just how far she’ll go to be with them.

We’re so glad that Ping Ann is doing well and has been reunited with her family, and we know her family must feel truly blessed to be loved that deeply by such an amazing dog.

Watch Ping Ann cuddle up to her daddy in this heart-melting clip.
