Noni’s early years were marked by neglect and confinement. She was one of more than thirty dogs trapped in a hoarding situation. Her world was reduced to a small cage inside a house, where her purpose was limited to breeding litter after litter of puppies. Each time she became a mother, her pups were taken from her and sold, leaving her with nothing but heartbreak. Her life of misery continued until the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) intervened.

Rescued from her dismal conditions, Noni was taken to a local rescue center. It was there that she crossed paths with Blossom, the woman who would soon become her savior and her new mom. Blossom was struck by Noni’s warm and gentle nature despite the suffering she had endured. The bond between them was instant, and Noni’s new chapter began.

Blossom welcomed Noni into her family, where she joined her new big brother, a dog named Cabbage. Though many anticipated Noni might take time to adjust to her new surroundings, she surprised everyone. Almost immediately, she became an affectionate and outgoing dog, embracing her new life with unbridled enthusiasm.

Her days became filled with joyful walks, trips to the beach, and playful zoomies around the house. She loved sticking close to her new parents and Cabbage, soaking in every moment of companionship and love. The family’s promise to Noni—that her life would only improve from the day she was rescued—was fulfilled with every wag of her tail and every burst of energy she displayed.

Merida is a senior who was found abandoned in a backyard with her sibling who had passed away. She was left to fend for herself as an 11-year-old with diabetes. Thankfully, Kanoa Rescue Foundation stepped in to save her, but she still needs your help!

Now, Noni embodies joy and resilience. Against all odds, she transformed into a vibrant, social dog who cherishes her freedom and adores her family. Her journey from a caged life to a life of love and liberty is a testament to her unbreakable spirit and the power of a second chance.
