Tinker recently experienced that heartbreak when her owners decided to surrender her to a Florida shelter. Once she realized she was all alone between four kennel walls, she instantly shut down from the world, losing all hope in life…
A Sight That Cracks Even The Hardest Heart
Dali, an animal rescuer from South Florida well-known for heart-wrenching dog stories shared on her TikTok account, left the entire internet in tears with Tinker’s video.
She showcased this little furball in a small kennel, facing the wall while sitting in the same position for hours.
“This happens to dogs after they’ve been in the shelter for a really long time. Tinker is giving up hope that anyone will adopt her. She sits facing the wall for hours,” Dali wrote.
Tinker recently lost her beloved family and now was all alone in this world, with absolutely zero hope of ever finding a home.
To make things worse, she has been constantly overlooked in the shelter after being deemed aggressive by the people who met her. The truth is, Tinker is far from being a misbehaved dog. She is the sweetest girl who loves to be cuddled, but refuses to be picked up.
Due to her trauma, Tinker perceives being picked up as a threat, which is often misunderstood by people as aggression.
Absolutely heartbreaking. tinker is a really sweet little girl who just wants to be cuddled but when she meets stranger, she doesn’t like to get picked up because it scares her and that’s the only thing that’s stopping her from getting a home because people assume she has aggressive when she is not.
Still, Saving Sage Animal Rescue, based in Lauderhill, Florida, does everything to make her and other dogs feel as welcome as possible, even though it sometimes is indeed a difficult mission.
Tinker is inconsolable in her kennel, spending most of her time there while waiting for things to change.

Little by little, Tinker slowly came out of her shell. With some TLC and the right approach, she revealed her true colors, confirming that she is indeed nothing but a lovebug.
“Tinker is a gentle spirit, a true couch potato who loves to relax and enjoys short strolls outside,” SSAR wrote on Facebook.
Dali’s video left thousands of people shocked to the core. Many viewers just couldn’t understand how such a sweet, adorable-looking dog could go unnoticed by the people. Tinker’s story sparked a debate on TikTok, resulting in numerous individuals wanting to give this sweet girl a home.
“Where are you located? Please send information. I would love to adopt her,” one user wrote.
“I’ll take her. Where is she,” another added.
Thanks to the video that soon went viral, Tinker’s situation completely changed. In just a few days, a family reached out to SSAR, wanting to meet this tiny pup.
Needless to say – Tinker couldn’t hide her excitement!

She instantly bonded with the family, and went into a new home within hours. Today, she’s happier than ever!
