And, how ‘bout that rush you feel while booking flights and accommodation, eagerly waiting for departure day to finally arrive? Isn’t that just the most exhilarating stress ever?
Lucy, the Scottish Terrier, and her mom, have experienced many of these so far! In recent years, they’ve broken countless barriers and crossed thousands of miles, enjoying nothing but the best times on all their trips.
One time, however, things didn’t go as planned.
Upon arriving at the airport, Lucy’s mom went through things one more time, only to realize she had forgotten something quite important!
How Could That Happen
While Lucy and her mom were waiting for the security check, a moment of shocking realization unfolded before their eyes.
Despite planning everything neatly, there was still one thing missing – and it was a biggie!
It was – Lucy’s leash!
“We are at the airport and realized we forgot the leash… This is our only option,” Lucy’s mom wrote in the video.
Although shocked, Lucy’s mom didn’t have time to despair. She had to think right on her feet and improvise a solution – and she came up with a “brilliant” back-up plan!

In the video posted on Lucy’s official Instagram account, her mom showcased a makeshift leash that she created for the purpose of passing through security.
Since dogs typically need to be in a carrier or on a leash for that particular procedure, Lucy’s mom had no other choice but to fashion a brand new leash – by tying one doggy bag to another.
However, the makeshift leash seemed to not make Lucy very happy. The video shows her turn her back from her mom completely, looking all embarrassed and disappointed.
On the other hand, the viewers found it hilarious!
“She’s like are you kidding me mom? You’re embarrassing me,” one commenter wrote.
“Lucy isn’t mad, she’s disappointed,” another added.
“The only thing keeping that dog from escaping is lack of imagination,” a third user joked.
Eventually, the two successfully made it through security and onto their flight, storing this whole mishap in a box of funny memories!
Lucy Is One Truly Lucky Gal After All
When she’s not all dramatic about her “makeshift” solutions, Lucy is actually one happy girl! She’s so lucky to have her mom by her side, as the two make the perfect duo together.
They travel, visit all these exciting places, make lots of friends on their adventures and create endless memories along the way.
Thanks to her hooman, Lucy gets to experience lots of new things — and she seems to like them all!
So far, Lucy has accomplished so much. She even got to accompany her mom in her kayaking adventure, where she made an excellent paddling sidekick.
She’s quite the adventurer who keeps dazzling people with her one-of-a-kind appearance and a striking, shiny black coat.
Still, at the end of the day, all that matters to Lucy is being next to her momma. Cozily tucked in her lap and receiving the warmest cuddles is her safe place – and she wouldn’t trade it for the world!
