It is always interesting to witness encounters between two different animals, and sometimes, these moments can even be heartwarming.

However, this is typically the case when both animals have good intentions—and ideally, when neither of them are wild.

Unfortunately, that’s not always how it goes, and sometimes things can get tense. This is especially true when a protective animal like a dog comes face-to-face with a wild creature.

It is exactly what a woman from Naples, Florida, experienced when she saw her dog and a black bear facing each other.

Fortunately, in this case, the two animals were separated by the glass of the front door.  

“Florida Wildlife At Its Finest”

Krista Greener is a content creator who lives in Naples, Florida, and regularly shares videos about making money in the digital world. Many of her videos already attracted a lot of attention and some of them even went viral, with millions of views. 

However, one video she shared on October 28, 2024, via her account @kristagreener, which has nothing to do with the digital world at all, took the Internet by storm. 

In it, she shared the incredible, but also a bit scary, encounter between her dog and a Florida black bear on her front door.

“POV: You were just about to go pick up the kids when you see this at the front door!” this woman wrote in the video, while the caption reads: “Was literally just about to walk out the door to go pick up the kids—Florida wildlife at its finest!”

In the video, we can see how at the beginning the two animals cautiously observe one another. However, after a few moments, the dog barks and the bear instantly moves away from the front door. 

The bear then walks around the house and this time appears from the other side, but the confident dog confronts him again and the bear finally retreats.

Numerous Reactions

This video attracted a lot of attention, not only from TikTok users but also from many media outlets. 

Yet, when it comes to TikTok, there were many different reactions, and we decided to highlight some of the best comments. 

“I get excited when a stray cat looks in my door! This would make my day!!!🥰” one user wrote. 

“He’s just a baby,” another added. 

The third quipped: “My dog would have lost her whole entire mind. She has zero chill.”

“The presence of bears is not necessarily a problem or a threat to your safety. But it is important to remember that bears are wild animals and deserve respect. If you are not careful, you could break the law and risk both your own safety and the bear’s.” the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) states. 

Fortunately, when you have a dog as calm and composed as Krista’s, you won’t have any problems, and you’ll also be able to record a video that makes the Internet go crazy.
