In a world where compassion should be boundless, there are unfortunately many stories of heartless abandonment, especially when it comes to human’s best friend. 

This is exactly why many dogs end up on the street, perhaps just when their favorite human is the most needed in their lives. One of those moments is definitely when a mother dog welcomes her babies into the world that need a warm home and lots of love.

That’s when it is necessary to show a good heart. Unfortunately, it is at these moments that many people fail the test of kindness, and that is exactly what happened in today’s story. Just because her babies were “different,” this canine family ended up on the street. 

Coldhearted Owner

One man showed that there are still good people out there. While he was feeding stray dogs in a location where most of them usually gather, he noticed something moving in a nearby place under the wall.

When he got there and took a closer look, he saw a curled-up and shaking Cocker Spaniel mother nursing her four newborn puppies. This scene completely shook him, but also caused him to rage against the owner who allowed this to happen. 

“She probably gave birth at home or was dumped when she was pregnant,” the man said in a YouTube video. “How can this poor girl manage to survive here? She is so little.”

Although she was able to survive, she lost her will to live, which could clearly be seen in her sad expression. After seeing this, it didn’t take long for this good man to make up his mind about what to do. 

However, before he took this terrified mother and her little family to safety, he gave her some food to help her endure these difficult times. Immediately, a glimmer of hope could be seen in her eyes.

Smile Back On Mother’s Face

Soon, this kind-hearted man brought the mom dog and her babies to his front yard in a kennel. He prepared a lot of canned food and fresh water for her, so that she would not miss anything and could feed her babies.

When he took a closer look at her puppies, he realized that they were mongrels, and that this was probably the main reason why this little family ended up on the street. 

Although he was disgusted by that fact, it motivated him even more to do everything so that these puppies and their mom could have a bright future. Among many heartless people, this great man was a kind of light in the darkness. 

“I did not leave them there because wicked people would come and take them away in order to sell them and make money,” he said. 

That fact made him over the moon, and the mother he had just saved could not remove the smile from her face out of gratitude. 

Quickly after gaining her complete trust, he bathed her and thoroughly dried her, so she could lick her puppies clean. 

“If we had left mom and her puppies where we found them, this mom dog would have got out of her tent to look for food, she would have likely got wet and dirty due to rain,” he said. “When she had got back to the tent, puppies would get wet too. The puppies would likely pass away”

In addition to all other things, this fact alone is enough to understand what a good deed this man has done. 

Special Place In Her Heart

After he had fed and washed her, and after she had a good night’s sleep with her puppies, this mother dog was ready for a veterinary examination the next day. 

When they went to the clinic the next morning, the hardest thing for her was to separate from her babies. However, this was something necessary that she had to do for her well-being and the welfare of her little ones. 

This man kept encouraging her along the way, and they finally managed to get to the vet, even though she was still running around looking for her puppies there. In the end, they somehow managed to coax her onto the examination table.

“Our vet had her treated. He started to give her antibiotics due to the discharge in her uterine cervix after giving birth,” the man said. “We will get her to the clinic for the next two days to continue her antibiotic treatment.”

When she was finally free from the vet, this man took her to a park to run and relax in the sun. Nevertheless, she continued to look for her puppies, and thus, showed that motherly love is above all else.

That is why her savior took her in his arms, just like the first time, to unite her with her babies. She immediately knew where they were going, and with this act, he completely won her over. 

Besides her babies, only this great man was able to earn a special place in her heart.
