Life can change in an instant, leaving everything you hold dear in ruins. This is especially true for dogs, who rely heavily on their loving humans for support and companionship. When the team from Howl Of A Dog arrived at her home, they discovered Amber lying under the remnants of the house. She was terrified at their approach and ran away to find safety. It was evident that Amber had been through a lot; not only had she lost her owner, but she had been living alone in front of the abandoned house for several months.
Despite the circumstances, the rescuers were determined not to give up. They patiently followed Amber as she darted away, eventually managing to coax her into a room within the house. It was there that they caught a glimpse of hope in her eyes, a spark that encouraged them to help her.
No longer would Amber remain in a lonely house with an empty heart. The rescuers began showering her with love, laying the groundwork for her healing process.
They took her to the veterinary clinic for a thorough check-up, where they discovered she was infested with ticks and diagnosed her with Babesiosis, a tick-borne illness requiring immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, Amber had no microchip, making it impossible to access any previous medical records, but that only fueled the team’s determination to provide her with the care she desperately needed.
Amber’s journey towards recovery began in earnest. She was no longer alone in an empty house; soon, a brighter chapter awaited her. Tatjana, a dear friend of Howl Of A Dog, learned of Amber’s heartbreaking story and stepped in to help find her a loving home.
Before long, Amber received wonderful news. Brigit and Lars, a couple passionate about dogs, decided to foster her. What began as a temporary arrangement quickly blossomed into a permanent one, as they fell deeply in love with her. Amber’s heart was finally full again, and her new home was filled with love, marking a beautiful turn in her story.
