Arthur never had a decent life.

Even when he was ‘rescued’ from a puppy mill, his misery continued. 

This Springer Spaniel had been seriously neglected, with nearly all of his fur gone and his body severely emaciated. 

It’s safe to say that Arthur, given his treatment, was just days away from a tragic end. 

Luckily, one woman knocked on his door just in time!

He Was Barely Alive

Abigail was truly heartbroken by Arthur’s story. Learning that he had only recently been saved from a life in a puppy mill, which left him with unbearable scars, was devastating.

“Arthur was a puppy mill breeder dog before I rescued him. I can’t even imagine the life he lived before,” Abigail wrote on TikTok.

However, Arthur’s misery didn’t end there.

This sweet Spaniel was “rescued” by a woman who continued treating him poorly. He was still extremely emaciated and suffered from a serious skin condition, leading Abigail to believe that Arthur’s condition had worsened in his new home.

On top of everything, his muscles began to deteriorate, and he had no strength to engage in any physical activity.

“He was in worse condition when I picked him up than what he was probably in from the puppy mill. I knew that if I didn’t take him, then he would not have lasted much more than a couple of days,” Abigail told Cuddle Buddies.

After taking him in, Abigail designed a thoughtful plan to save Arthur and give him a decent life.

The first thing she did was switch him to a high-protein, raw-food diet because he practically had no muscle. She also treated Arthur with meds and medicated baths, and regularly took him to the vet.

The two spent an entire month filled with so many ups and downs, but eventually, Arthur was out of danger.

Even more impressively, he regrew his fur and literally dazzled everyone with his shiny, fashionable look!

A Brand-New Dog

One month of constant care was all it took for Arthur to become a brand-new dog.

Many sleepless nights later, he transformed into a handsome, fabulous furry boi, with no signs of his previous life visible on him whatsoever.

He was, indeed, Arthur – the true king of the house, the king of his own Camelot!

Abigail couldn’t be more proud of him. Her endless efforts finally paid off, and now she was able to see Arthur reach his full potential, even though everybody had doubted he’d ever get there.

Needless to say, the two fell head over heels for each other!

“When I picked Arthur up, I thought that I was just saving him. I didn’t realize that I would come to love him the way that I do,” says Abigail.

And his new sibling, Genevieve the Golden Retriever, loves him too!

With Arthur fully back on his paws, the two developed a strong bond and became best friends. Now, they embark together upon many exciting adventures, both indoors and in their spacious yard.

Arthur truly changed Abigail’s life for the better. He taught her resilience, patience, and the true meaning of love. Now that he’s as healthy as he can possibly be, there’s nothing left for him and his family but to enjoy their life to the fullest!
