I think we can all agree that we’ve had a moment where we wanted to turn off our alarms and just roll back into bed.  

This is especially true for those early winter mornings when you are so nice and warm and just the thought of your feet hitting the cold floor sends shivers down your spine!

Unfortunately, since most of us have to go to work, we are forced to get up, get ready, and start our busy day. I’m going to take a guess that the pup of today’s story had a similar experience.

One Sleepy Girl

As I was scrolling through Instagram the other day, enjoying all the furry friend content, I stumbled across a video of a little pup that absolutely melted my heart.    

The pup, an adorable Dachshund by the name of Winnie, was riding in the passenger seat of her mom’s car.

And we all know how much pups love car rides. They carefully watch every single car or tree that passes by and, when it is safe to do so, stick their heads out the window and feel the fresh air on their face.

However, this little girl was doing something different.

It’s obvious that Winnie didn’t sleep too well last night, causing her to fall asleep during her car ride. But not wanting to miss out on some quality time with her mom, Hailey, she tried her best to fight the sleep off.

The video shows the little pup falling in and out of sleep while trying to stand on her two feet. Ultimately, the Sandman takes the win and the sleepy pup falls onto her blanket for a much-needed nap.

The Internet Loved It

After sharing the video on her Instagram, hoomans gathered in the comments to share their thoughts on the sleepy situation.  

One commentator said something all of us were thinking already: “Oh my gawd this is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”

“Ur a heck of a sleepy pup, Winnie!” another one stated.

One person even pointed out the fact that she used her little elbow to keep her standing up: “Her arm resting like she’s a truck driver lolol.”

And another stated that their pup does this too: “My pup would do the same with her arm, it must be a dachshund thing.”

Though Winnie longed to be a passenger princess, in the end, she’s truly a sleeping beauty at heart!

And I definitely wouldn’t mind being her prince!
