One lesser-known thing a lot of rescuers do for stray animals is going out on the streets and helping out hungry dogs and cats.
Sometimes, shelters will be at max capacity and just can’t take in new rescues, but because there are just so many animals that need help, something has to be done.
So, in some areas, the rescuers make it their top priority to care for street animals and provide them with at least some food and love. Other times, when it’s an emergency, they try to help however they can.
This rescuer was doing just that on the streets of Texas and she stumbled upon 2 very sweet dogs who needed her, so she decided to help them.
2 Very Sweet Dogs
When Kristin and other volunteers were notified about a pack of sick dogs who needed to be rescued, they rushed to find them.
Unfortunately, some of the volunteers had found that two of the four dogs had passed away. Heartbroken by this, they tried to find the remaining two.
Kristin saw them living under a house, so she tried her best to get their attention. Even though they were hesitant at first, they allowed their rescuers to approach them.
After they got close, they gave the 2 dogs some pets and just tried to help them relax. After they realized these kind people only want to help them, Kristin transported them in her car.
They looked really happy to be with her and their little tail wags were showing that they were excited to finally be with someone.
Unfortunately for these stray dogs, the area of Texas where Kristin lives does not have any animal shelters, so they have to find a way to help them on their own.
But, because she has been rescuing dogs for over 10 years, she is experienced and will surely find someone amazing for them.
A New Chapter For Ron And Ginny
After a nice ride, they were in Kristin’s home. She named them Ron and Ginny Weasley. The 2 adorable dogs received medical attention and were now on a path to full recovery.
Because they had never experienced love before, everything was new to them. They were not used to being taken care of.
However, it’s safe to say that it didn’t take them a long time to become comfortable in Kristin’s home. It was apparent that they love her so much for what she did for the two of them.
Kristin was so glad that she was able to foster Ron and Ginny because they were so sweet and cheerful.
When they made a full recovery, Kristin worked hard to find them a forever home, so she contacted Gals Best Pal Rescue Mission in Massachusetts who decided to help.
Ron was the first one to find a forever home and he has completely changed in the care of his new family. However, Ginny had to stay behind for a while because she had heartworms.
However, her treatment would finish in 4 months and Kristin was able to find a forever home for Ginny in Wisconsin thanks to Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue.
In the end, these two dogs who were struggling for a long time finally got the chance to experience the love they deserve and are now living happily with their new family.
@streetheartstx I finally wrapped up Ginny and Ron’s video 🥰 They were rescued from an area with hundreds of stray dogs and no animal control. Sick, starving packs of dogs just running around. It’s truly heartbreaking. In fact, not all the dogs from Ginny and Ron’s pack survived. When volunteers went to round them up they discovered it was too late for two of them, sadly they passed away 💔 Ginny and Ron were an absolute delight to foster! They were sweet, happy dogs, easy to please. Ron was the shy one but thanks to @Gals Best Pal Rescue Mission ♬ You’re Still The One – Eddie Tom
