There are many sad stories in the dog world, and we are always heartbroken when we see a poor dog left on the harsh streets to fend for itself.

It is equally heartbreaking to see our best furry friends behind the bars of a kennel. Sadly, many of these dogs have never experienced what it means to live in a warm home with a loving family.

However, it is especially difficult for dogs who have spent a long time in a home with their dearest people, only to end up in a cold and dark shelter.

The sorrowful expression of a dog that recently ended up in a Florida shelter perfectly shows how our furry friends feel in such moments.

Eyes Full Of Sorrow

A dog named Ziggy had lived in a cozy home for a long time and she was used to kisses and warm hugs. 

However, one day, she suddenly found herself in the Florida shelter, part of the Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation. 

According to them, her owner became elderly and sick and the rest of the family could not continue taking care of her. That is why they surrendered her to their shelter. 

However, what was most heartbreaking in this whole situation was the fact that Ziggy was surrendered in her tutu dress with a wardrobe of her outfits. 

When one woman saw her in that dress with her sorrowful eyes behind the bars of the kennel, she decided to record her and share the video with her TikTok followers, via her account, @_thatdoggirl_. 

“She got surrendered to the shelter in her tutu dress with her entire wardrobe in a trash bag,” she wrote in the video. 

When we take a closer look at Ziggy, we can clearly see immense confusion and sorrow in the eyes of this dog, and when we add to that the pink dress in which she is dressed, this video becomes heartbreaking in such a specific way.

Different Reactions

This sad situation not only attracted the attention of the people from the shelter but also many TikTok users as the video soon went viral. 

There were many reactions and some people even believed that the reason why this dog was left at the shelter was something else entirely. 

“if she has a wardrobe, someone loved her dearly, how sad,” one user wrote. 

“Poor baby, what the heck happened? Who would do this 😭😢” another added. 

The third stated: “if she had a tutu on and outfits then somewhere is a heartbroken person frantically searching for her. I feel like this is a revenge thing. prayers for her.”

We can’t say for sure which of these is true, but what we do know is that Ziggy has already found a foster home and many adopters are interested in her. It is very likely that she will find a new home soon. 

Unfortunately, Ziggy is not the only dog ​​left in the shelter as many other canines are surrendered every day and their lives are also important. 

“Please also consider adopting locally to you- dogs like Ziggy are surrendered every day!” Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation wrote in their Facebook post.
