All you need is one shot at happiness, and that’s about it. At least for dogs!
Squeem was as unhappy as he was tiny. Abandoned and forced to roam the streets of Oregon in hopes somebody would eventually find him, he had every single odd stacked against him.
Plus, he weighed only two pounds. Yes, as an adult! In other words, he was in constant danger of being hurt by larger animals or seriously injured in an accident.
Then, it happened: his first (and last) shot at happiness that turned his life upside down… in the most beautiful way!
From Abandoned To Beloved
Can you imagine stumbling upon a two-pound furball on the streets? Shocking! That’s how Squeem’s finder felt when they first stumbled upon this teeny-tiny dog.
He was shivering and all covered in dirt. He definitely didn’t deserve to be abandoned on the streets, but in a way, that was Squeem’s ticket to a better life. Right after he was found, the kind person took him to the Oregon Humane Society.
In an instant, Squeem became everyone’s favorite!
This little ball of fur was practically a pocket dog – and it was hilarious seeing him request cuddles while being in the arms and pockets of the shelter crew.
Instead of waiting for his shot of happiness in a kennel between four walls, Squeem was sent to a foster home. And, he loved it! He was definitely a family dog who just needed to be given a chance. But, lucky for him, he didn’t have to wait for it!
Hannah and her partner, V, fell in love with Squeem the minute they saw him. Thanks to their friend who sent them the photos and told them about him, they had insight into his story.
Needless to say, Squeem captivated their hearts without even trying! Was it his adorable look, his regular-sized ears on his extremely tiny head with a wiry coat – who could tell? But, they knew they had to adopt him!
In days, Squeem went from abandoned to beloved. He found the perfect home with his new moms who agreed to keep him under one condition: to keep his admirers from the Oregon shelter posted via social media!
“Local celebrity and former stray. Squeem came home with us this week on the condition that we make him a social media account so the shelter employees could keep up with him,” his owners wrote in a TikTok post, showcasing Squeem’s latest photos.
That’s right!
Squeem has both an Instagram and TikTok account, and he’s quite a celebrity! His owners receive hundreds of messages from Squeem’s followers all over the world who can’t stop showering him with adorable comments.
“How did this little boop boop end up in the shelter? I’m so glad he found a good forever home,” one commenter wrote.
“If he isn’t the cutest lil thing I’ve ever seen,” another added.
His Body Is Tiny, But His Personality Is Huge
Oh, and yes – Squeem may be tiny, but his personality is definitely not!
Three things define this sweet gentleman: the silliest bark, excitement about literally everything, and doing circles, like, all the time!
He’s definitely not just a lap dog. Squeem is all about activity!
Now that he’s finally safe and sound and settled in a wonderful home, Squeem has an endless road of opportunities ahead. He has many adventures awaiting him, and I’m absolutely sure that he can’t wait to start.
