Mr. Rogers’ Inspiring Rescue Story Brings Hope and Healing

Hope For Paws received a text about a deaf senior dog living by the freeway for 7 months and set out to help.

A security guard was able to point out where he hides, and they took advantage of the vibration caused by the nearby traffic to sneak up on the sleeping boy.

When Mr. Rogers felt the gentle snare on his nose, he came to and seemed a little bewildered but didn’t freak out. Rescuers took a moment to sit with the gentle giant and let him know everything was going to be OK.

They’d then get him back to the hospital where they discovered it was an ear infection that was making him deaf all along. Now with his hearing back, the good boy is being fostered until that forever home comes along!
