There are so many abandoned dogs wandering the harsh streets of cities that it is difficult for true dog lovers not to shed a tear for these helpless souls.
To make matters worse, the situation is often not much better for dogs who do have owners. Many of these owners are heartless, neglecting their dogs or exploiting them for personal gain.
Most commonly, such individuals exploit dogs for breeding purposes to earn money. However, there are many other tasks these canines are forced to perform, and their owners show little concern for how the dogs feel about doing them.
Compassionate individuals witnessed such neglect one day when they discovered a freezing dog guarding a warehouse in dire conditions.
A Life Of Neglect
That day it was snowing and very cold. However, that did not save one poor dog from doing his job of guarding a warehouse.
Fortunately, when the big-hearted rescuers that were passing by saw that, they immediately decided to stop and help the poor pooch.
The very fact that this dog was chained and had to do what he was doing was heartbreaking. Yet, they were even more shocked when they saw his awful situation.
The dog house was extremely dirty and the dishes from which he ate food were not any cleaner. Aside from that, they also soon found out that his owner lived a few hundred meters away and that he was mostly fed by neighbors and other good people.
The rescuers quickly realized that he was malnourished and very hungry when they gave him some food.
He was so happy about it that he ate it all in seconds.
These people were over the moon because they fed him and made him smile again, at least a bit, but now it was up to them to contact the owner and negotiate his release.
Healing And Recovery
While they were waiting for the owner to come, the dog seemed to sense what was going on as he suddenly started joyfully walking around them and vigorously wagging his tail.
When the owner finally arrived, they managed to agree with him very easily. The only thing that interested him was cash, and when they gave it to him, the dog was free to go.
These great people immediately brought the dog to the veterinary clinic. After the examination, the vet diagnosed him with stage 3 heartworm disease.
There was a chance that he would need surgery, but they hoped that the problem would be solved with medications and therapies.
One of his saviors decided to continue taking care of him and she provided him with everything he needed. Because he was always hungry, she gave him a lot of good-quality food, but aside from that, she also made him a comfortable and warm bed.
She showered him with a lot of love and warm hugs, something he had missed in his previous life.
With her help, as well as his determination to live a happy life, this brave dog was healing rapidly, both physically and emotionally.
It was now clear that better days were ahead of him.
Happy Days In A Warm Home
The fact that this dog was smiling and wagging his tail again was truly wonderful news. When the rescuer got the information that his heartworm disease was under control and that surgery wouldn’t be necessary, she knew that the happy ending was closer than ever.
Soon after she received the good news, this great woman went into action to find the perfect family for the dog.
Many people were interested in him, but one loving family truly fell in love with this dog, so his rescuer and caretaker decided that they were the ones.
It was hard for this woman to say goodbye as she formed a strong bond with the furry fellow, but at the same time, she was over the moon because of his new life.
And truly, this dog, who was named Bomnal by his new family, was absolutely enjoying his new life and happier days, which he fully deserved.
He was making up for all those unhappy moments spent in front of the warehouse when he dreamed of love and warm hugs. Now, thanks to good souls, that dream has become a reality.
