Clever Beagle Pulls Off Intricate Plan to Steal a Chicken Dinner

My sniffer is picking up on something scrumptious. I always see my parents going up to this metal box on the counter, so I think it might be their food bowl.

Their food is always better than mine, and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind sharing a few pieces. I’m almost positive this is a rotisserie chicken.

They are outside working in the yard, so the timing couldn’t be more perfect…

There are few things I love more than a good rotisserie chicken, and I’ll risk just about anything to get a piece of it.

My love for it is so strong, I would even risk upsetting my parents (and they’re definitely going to be mad about this one, I just have to make sure I don’t get caught.)

Is there a 12-step program for rotisserie chicken addictions? Because I think I could benefit from one…

I don’t know what this contraption is, but it makes a lot of noises and it always seems to put out yummy food. I’ve never had a bad experience when my parents pull something out of these doohickeys!

It definitely smells like this is where the chicken is at, but I have no idea how I’m going to get into it. I’ve gotta be quick before mom and dad come back inside and catch me…

Aha! My parents are so lucky to have such a smart dog like me. I’m 100% sure the chicken is in that box, and I can’t just quit now that I’ve made it this far.

I finally got inside the magic box, and wouldn’t you know… it was full of chicken. This has to be one of the best days of my life. I’m going to check this contraption much more often.

I was starting to get a little nervous because I think I saw them walking toward the house. I need to work faster!

Success is mine! This was my second time jumping up here, so I decided to take the whole thing out to save a few trips and hopefully not get caught red-pawed.

I only wanted to eat one piece, but I couldn’t help myself. Once I have one, I have to have them all. I’m sure my parents are not going to be happy about this. They might not have cared if I only snuck out one piece, but the whole thing?

Maybe the metal box has a button I can push to make more because I’m definitely in trouble and starting to regret this decision…
