Pup Who Was Neglected Her Whole Life Did A Happy Dance When Her Foster Family Took Her In

Even though they grow old, most doggos never let go of that puppy spirit that’s inside of them.

They continue to play and run around as much as they can, sometimes even forgetting that they are no longer the energetic pups that they once were.

Luckily, many dog owners have decided to embrace this puppy spirit and help their furry friends feel as youthful as ever.

But, unfortunately, not everybody is this kind-hearted.

Better Days Are Coming

A little senior girl named Piper didn’t really live her retirement years as she was supposed to.

After dedicating her life to her family, making sure that every single day was full of love and laughter, she ended up being tied to a porch, unable to roam around and explore.

Who knows how many days she spent in such a condition without experiencing a single ounce of love.

Luckily, all of this was about to change.

When Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy, a rescue organization in Irvine, California, heard about the hardship that this poor girl suffered, she immediately made her way to her house, determined to save her.

Luckily, she was able to persuade her owners to surrender Piper into her care, ensuring them that she would get the proper help she deserved.

As soon as she had Piper in her car, the California rescuer made sure to remind this sweet girl that she was loved and that nothing could hurt her anymore.

Piper soaked up all of her words, melting in her hands and enjoying the pets!

Piper was rushed to the vet where she received a thorough medical examination as well as medication for all the fleas hiding in her fur.

Fortunately, Hall was able to secure a loving foster home for her in record-breaking time, allowing Piper to finally relax and disappear from all the trauma she had suffered.

Finally Safe

After enduring so much pain and suffering in her golden years, Piper was finally safe.

Feeling all the love and appreciation from her foster parent not only allowed her to come out of her shell but also to start dancing!

“She wiggles her little butt and does a little dance and smiles as big as she can. She knows what love is now,” wrote Hall in a Facebook post.

The fact that this adorable little angel is finally able to live a life full of fun, happiness, and love fills my heart with joy.

This is the retirement she deserved all along!

Unfortunately, countless senior pups face the same sad fate.

Dog owners must remember that, even as our furry friends age, they remain the same playful pups we welcomed into our lives.

So please treat them with the love and respect that they deserve. And if you are unable to do so, consider surrendering them to your local shelter and offer them a second chance at life.

They once brought happiness to us; we need to do the same for them!
