Seeing animal cruelty on display every day can be disheartening to see. A lot of people are completely numb to it, or just outright ignore it.

So many people do not realize that it’s not something that should be tolerated, and only we have the power to change it.

In this case, a dog was hit by a car on the road, and instead of helping, the driver just drove away. The dog was someone else’s problem at that point.

However, two kind rescuers noticed this dog was struggling to even move after the accident and they immediately rushed to her aid.

This Pup Is In A Lot Of Pain

After seeing the dog’s wobbly walk, the two rescuers were even more heartbroken. They immediately sprung into action and tried to do whatever they could.

The pup looked at them like she was begging for help. There was sadness in her eyes, and she looked frightened to see her rescuers. She didn’t know what their intentions were.

At that point, they didn’t know if the dog was severely injured, so they had to be careful about moving her into a vehicle. So, they did it very slowly and she was finally safe in their car.

She was taken to a veterinarian clinic in California where she received immediate care. She was placed on pain medication and fluids.

However, until the checkup results are there, there isn’t much more they can do. At the moment, she will just have to pull through.

The pup, now named Inky, was fighting with all her strength. She wanted to keep going, but it was hard. Soon after they rescued the pup, they learned something.

Inky’s Owner

Inky had an owner and he was absolutely devastated to learn his dear pup was hit by a car. He immediately came to see her at the clinic.

He was heartbroken by her state and he said he would do whatever it takes to help her, even though he doesn’t have the financial means.

The other rescuers told him that they would help out in any way they could, so he doesn’t have to worry about it. He was grateful to these people for everything they had done.

He told them that her real name was Tulum, and this dog was all that he had. He was still in disbelief that this happened.

Her condition was not great. She has a fractured spine and is paralyzed. She is on strong medication to help deal with the pain.

Everyone Is Hopeful For Tulum

The vets are hoping that Inky will be able to undergo a spine surgery to fix it, but they still need to wait for a bit. 

After waiting for a bit, the good news came. Surgery would be possible for her condition, but they needed to find the appropriate pet hospital for it.

So, the Californian rescuers immediately started planning their next step. They were able to find a proper pet hospital on short notice. 

They contacted them about the surgery and got all the necessary information. Right after that, the pup was transferred to the pet hospital where she will undergo serious surgery.

While we don’t know what happens next in Inky’s story, I am hopeful that these amazing rescuers have done everything in their power to help this sweet dog walk again.
