Pastor Was Shocked When He Found 6 Puppies And A Note In Front Of The Church

We all like to see happy pups spending time with their beloved people. At the same time, our hearts break when we see neglected or abandoned dogs.

Unfortunately, the latter is something that we, true dog lovers, witness much more often and that is definitely a sad reality.

One day, a pastor in front of a church in Kentucky witnessed such a heartbreak with his own eyes. On the church steps, a box with a note appeared, and the contents of it truly saddened him.

Poor Little Babies

The pastor was heartbroken when he saw that the box left in front of the church door was filled with furry babies. There were six newborn puppies inside and the mother was nowhere to be found.

Aside from that, a note was written on the box, stating: “Puppies free to a good home. Mixed with blue nose pit bull and breed of the father is unknown.”

This situation shook the pastor, but fortunately, he was able to pull himself together rather quickly.

Since he didn’t have much information about the pups besides the note and didn’t know what to do, this good man decided to contact Powell County Animal Shelter for help.

As soon as the people from the shelter located in Powell County, Kentucky got the call from the pastor, they immediately reacted. To his delight, they were satisfied with the condition of these puppies

“It was dark and going to be a very cold night,” Teresa Stidham, the emplyee of Powell County Animal Shelter, told The Dodo. “The puppies looked to be in good condition and seemed to be freshly taken from their momma.”

The poor little babies were now finally heading to safety.

Hope For A Loving Home

Soon after the pastor found them, the shelter transferred the puppies to a temporary foster home for a few days before they came back to the kennel.

Shelter employees are providing the puppies with everything they need in order to thrive. At the same time, they are also constantly searching for their forever home. Unfortunately, it is hard to find a family that will accept so many dogs into their home.

Yet, these people aren’t willing to give up on them because they know that a loving family and a forever home is the best solution. “We feel they would fare better with more attention than we can provide,” Teresa said.

In the meantime, they are also searching for the person who abandoned the puppies in front of the church in Kentucky in the hope that they will find the mother and reunite her with her babies.

Until then, these people are ready to give the puppies all their love.
