When it comes to our pets, many of us often see just one side of the story — a good owner walking with a happy dog who lacks nothing in life. 

Unfortunately, the reality is quite different because there are many neglected, abandoned, and even abused canines whose every moment is a nightmare. 

Neighbors of one heartless owner witnessed this every day as he neglected his dog and left her chained in the backyard. 

These great people threw her food over the fence so that she could survive. However, at one point, they couldn’t stand it anymore, so they decided to call for help. 

Horrible State

As soon as the rescuers got a call from these people, they rushed to that place. When they finally arrived, they were totally devastated by the horrible state this dog was in. 

She was only skin and bones, and these people weren’t sure whether she would even survive. However, since they were determined to help her, they first got in touch with the owner. 

They were already angry because of what he did to his dog, but these people were even more infuriated when he refused to let her go. He didn’t even see the problem in this whole situation, as if his dog lacked nothing.

Fortunately, after long negotiations, these big-hearted people managed to save the dog, who was named Dana, from this awful place.  

One of the rescuers was particularly determined to do everything to make Dana’s future bright so she decided to take full responsibility for her. 

She rushed her to the veterinary clinic where the vets immediately started examining her. As expected, the situation was not at all good as Dana was extremely underweight and suffering from severe anemia. 

At first, the doctors did not even know if she would survive, but after they did everything to help her, her condition started to improve. 

Her saviors were over the moon because of that and she promised Dana that she would do everything to make her life happy again.

Resilient Soul

After a few days in hospital, Dana started to feel better, which was the sign that she could be discharged. 

Her savior and guardian angel happily agreed to bring her home and continue taking care of her. She learned to change the bandages on her wounds so there was no need for her to stay at the vet anymore. 

It wasn’t easy at first because she was still in pain, but Dana showed that she was a resilient soul and that, with the help of her new mother, she would overcome all the difficulties. 

It was exactly like that because Dana started to recover rapidly and she showed her true colors. Her joyful personality surfaced and her mother and the other members of the family were delighted by it. 

Dana enjoyed cuddling, playing in the yard, and being in the sun. Her new family did not deny her anything and they tried to give her all the love they could. 

The combination of her resilience, joyful spirit, and will to live with the immense love of her new family was the best recipe for that, so it was only a matter of time before she met her happy ending.

Everything was leading to that outcome. 

New Happy Life

After many happy days spent in her new home, Dana was thriving like never before. She wasn’t in pain anymore and her health was finally perfect. 

However, what is even more important is that the deep wounds on her soul caused by her previous owner also healed, which enabled her to spread her wings like a phoenix from the ashes. 

She never stopped running in the sun and enjoyed playing with her doggy friends. Her bright look was finally full of happiness and hope and every wag of her tail was one less wound on her soul. 

After everything she’s been through, Dana truly deserves the happy life she is now living. However, none of this would have happened if there were no good souls who decided to save an innocent life from the jaws of heartlessness. 

These people are the true heroes of love in this cruel world we are living in.
