Abandonment is one of the more pervasive issues when it comes to dogs. A lot of them end up on the streets or in shelters for nonsensical reasons.

In very few instances, the owners just can’t afford the growing medical bills for a dog so they surrender them to the rescuers.

However, more often than not, people just get rid of their dogs when they become an inconvenience for them, and the dogs just can’t process this.

They believe that their owners will come back for them, completely unaware of the fact that their life has changed forever. 

Something like that happened to this adorable dog who was also left by her owner. Fortunately, for this pup, a kind person saw her and decided to do something about her situation.

She Was In A Lot Of Pain

When a rescuer saw this pup, he was shocked by what he witnessed. She had a serious leg injury that happened when she was playing.

The cruel owner just kicked her out of the house, and the dog was no longer his problem. Why he would do this is just beyond me.

After she was abandoned, the dog walked to an abandoned house that was close to hers and just waited.

I guess that she didn’t understand what had happened. To her, the hopes of going back home were still strong, but that was never going to happen.

The rescuer then placed a leash on the dog and tried to help her up. She was transported in the car where she waited for him to take her into the clinic.

In the meantime, the man went to ask the owner about his dog, but he pretty much just denied that he ever even had a dog.

After this, the rescuer took the pup to see the vet, who told him that the pup was lucky. If more time had passed, she would have lost her leg.

The vet then treated her injured leg and gave her medicine. She was going to recover just fine, but it would take some time.

Start Of A New And Better Life

This was extremely good news for the rescuer. Now, he needed to plan his next step. When the pup was okay enough, he took her to his home where she stayed for a while.

She still had to take her medicine, and the man would make sure she got everything she needed. After 10 days had passed, they went for a routine check.

The vet told them that her injury was healing and she was out of the woods. However, she would need very small surgery to surgically disinfect her wound.

Everything went well, and the dog, now named Keiko, was back with her rescuer and they went home. Her health and mood improved dramatically in a short time.

Her rescuer was so happy to see she was finally smiling. She also has a dog friend with whom she plays all the time. They look so adorable whenever they are running outside.

One thing Keiko’s rescuer noticed was that she enjoyed playing in the water. It was something that she loved dearly, and she was a very clean pup. 

Anytime she got dirty, she would feel uncomfortable, so her rescuer would help clean her up. While it looked like Keiko’s rescuer might search for a new home for her, it was already too late.

He wanted her to stay with him, so he adopted her, and she is now officially a part of the family. 

Even though she suffered a cruel punishment under her previous owner, she was strong enough to overcome her pain and is now living her dream life with someone amazing.
